Discover ancient Culture of Egypt in this 8-day trip enjoying Cairo, Alexandria, Hurghada, Luxor and Aswan. You’ll begin your journey by visiting Alexandria from Cairo in 1 day tour. Visit Alexandria’s top attractions such as New library of Alexandria, Bombey’s pillar, The Catacombs and more. Then, return to Cairo to explore the pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and Egyptian Museum before heading to Hurghada to enjoy red sea activities and excursions. After that, head to Luxor and Aswan to explore ancient ruins and temples. At the end, return to Cairo to be escorted to the airport where you’ll head back home with stories and memories of all the unforgettable moments you spent in Egypt.

ITINERARY

Day 1 - Arrival to Cairo.

Upon your arrival to Cairo international Airport, one of our Representatives will be there waiting for you, holding assign with your name, welcoming you and helping to collect your luggage. Then, you will be transferred to your hotel, overnight at hotel in Cairo.

Day 2 - Visit Alexandria city.

Pickup from your Hotel by Our expert Licensed Tour guide and be Transferred to Alexandria by private car with A/C for 220K.M. Upon arrival to Alexandria, you will start your day tour by visiting the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa is the only tombs you can visit in Alexandria, it has 3 underground levels, where many people were buried. There you can see the the mixing between the ancient Egyptian and the ancient Roman funerary art.
Then, visit the Roman Amphitheater, which construction was made of marble and was used to host different artistic events like musical concerts and different sorts of events up till the 7th century.

Then, drive to Pompey’s pillar, which has 26.85 m high and has been carved out of a single piece of red granite from Aswan, and its estimated weight is 285 tons. Then, you will stop for Lunch in a nice local restaurant.

After lunch, continue your day tour by visiting Alexandria Library, which has more the 6 million books in different language and considered to be on of the biggest Libraries in the world.

Later, drive to Qaitbay Citadel, which was the light house of Alexandria, you will have a free time to walk around the area to enjoy the Scenery and breeze of Mediterranean sea.

At the end, you will be driven back to Cairo and taken to your hotel for a good night’s sleep.

Day 3 - Egyptian museum - Giza pyramids and Sphinx - Drive to Hurghada.

At 8:00 am, Our Tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and accompany you in your Cairo full day tour. First, you will visit the magnificent Egyptian Museum, the house of antiquities in Egypt, which holds over 25,000 monuments from ancient Egyptian times, such as the unique treasures of King Tutankhamun including the golden mask, coffins and many other objects of fine art.

Then you’ll be taken to have a lovely lunch of oriental food in a local restaurant.

After lunch, you’ll be taken to visit The Great Pyramids of Giza- Cheops, Chephren & Mykerions. The largest of the three pyramids at Giza, known as the Great Pyramid or Pyramid of Cheops, it was constructed using around 2,300,000 limestone blocks, each weighing an average of 2.5 tons. Some blocks weigh as much as 16 tons. The 2nd Pyramid known as Pyramid of Khafre or Chephren and the 3rd known as Pyramid of Menkaure or Mykerinos. After visiting tree pyramids, you will head to see The Great Sphinx of Giza – Legendary lion body with the face of king Chephren standing beyond a huge funeral Temple named as king’s Chephren Valley Temple. This Temple is the same place, where the dead Body of King Chepren was Mummified in.

After concluding your visit to Egyptian museum and Pyramids of Giza, you’ll be transferred to Hurghada by private car to start your beach holiday!

Day 4 - Hurghada - Beach activities and excursions.

Wake up and have a nice, big breakfast, and then head to the beach! Relax and enjoy your free day in Hurghada’s beautiful beaches and the inviting swimming pool.

Day 5 - Luxor day trip.

At 4:30 am, you will check out of your hotel. Then, at 5:00 am, you will be taken to luxor by private car.
Upon arrival to Luxor, you will visit the Karnak Temple (on the East Bank of the Nile). Karnak Temple is the greatest example of worship in the history, dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. The construction of the Karanak Temple lasted about 2000 years to be built from the old kingdom till the Roman occupied Egypt. Then, you will have a lunch at nice restaurant.

After lunch, you will visit the Valley of the Kings (on the West Bank), the magnificence of the grandeur of architecture, which was used for burial. There are many kings buried in this valley. The most known tombs are King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, King Ramssess VI, King Mrenptah and AmonhotepII.

Followed by a visit to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by Queen Hatshepsut, the daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (approximately 1490-1469 B.C).

Then, continue your day Tour to The Colossi of Memnon, which are remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel in Luxor.

Day 6 - Edfu Temple - Kom Ombo temple - Arrival to Aswan(By car).

At 7:00 am, our expert licensed tour guide will pick you up you from your hotel in Luxor to enjoy a day tour to the amazing 2 temples Edfu and Kom Ombo. Drive for about 2 hours passing through interesting Egyptian villages enjoying atmosphere of the Nile Valley to City of Edfu, where you will visit Edfu temple for 2 hours. Edfu Temple was constructed between 237 and 57 BC during the Ptolemaic era extended between 332 – 30 BC, and considered to be the best preserved temple in Egypt. 
Then, continue to Kom Ombo City, which located at about 70 km south of Edfu, visit the unique double Temple of Kom Ombo, which was built for two deities, the crocodile-headed Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris or the ancient falcon-headed Horus. Then, stop for having a nice lunch at local restaurant. After having your lunch, drive to your hotel in Aswan.

Day 7 - Aswan- Philae temples – Sleeper train to Cairo.

Pickup from your Hotel by Our expert Licensed Tour guide to visit the majestic Philae Temple, which was the ancient pilgrimage center and was built in the honor of Goddess Isis the chief deity of the island.

After concluding your sightseeing for the day, you’ll be transferred to the railway station where you’ll take the 5:00 pm overnight, sleeper train on half board accommodation to Cairo.

After that, visit the Unfinished Obelisk which shows the techniques used by the ancient Egyptians to cut obelisks. Most probably this obelisk belongs to Queen Hatshepsut, one of the rulers of the 18th Dynasty and the royal wife of king Tuthmosis II. This queen was the owner of her Temple in the eastern bank of Luxor.

After concluding your sightseeing for the day, you’ll be transferred to the railway station where you’ll take the 5:00 pm overnight, sleeper train on half board accommodation to Cairo.

Day 8 - Departure to Cairo Airport.

Wake up and have your breakfast at the hotel before checking out, and then, be escorted to the airport, where you’ll catch your international flight home with stories and memories of all the unforgettable moments you spent in Egypt.

1- Upon request, this tour itinerary can be modified to start from any city in Egypt (Not only from Cairo).
2- Upon your request, we can add/remove/change some places or attractions in this itinerary. ( But please note that, all Changes are subject to availability).
